About Us

Nation Paper Products & Printing Corporation (NAPPCO) began when an expanding market demand for paper products was answered by a persevering spirit of enterprise. Its humble beginnings can be traced to a small trading store in Divisoria, a bustling business hub at the heart of Manila.

In the 1950's, a small paper trading store was prospering well in Divisoria, owned and managed by Mr. Cheng Uh and his son, Cheng Tsu. As business was doing well, the father and son, together with their friend, Mr. Barreto Sy, decided to expand its paper trading business into paper converting and printing enterprise. Thus, in 1959 NAPPCO was born. Starting with just one second-hand paper sheeting machine bought from Japan, the rest of its expansion would soon follow.

In order to get NAPPCO moving, the trio invited close friends to invest in its fledging operation, which they heed their call - Mr. Ang Keak, Mr. Sy Lin, Mr. Sy Tan, Mr. Sy Tit and Mr. So became part of NAPPCO's first incorporators. Mr. Cheng Uh became NAPPCO's first Chairman, Mr. Ang Keak was the first Vice Chairman, Mr. So was the first Treasurer and Mr. Barreto Sy was the company's first General Manager.

Today, NAPPCO is one of the major players in the paper industry in the Philippines. It has employed over 100 employees working over its day-to-day operations. As the leading paper merchant, NAPPCO possesses the knowledge and experience to answer the needs of its customers by offering a range of products for various job demands. Under the leadership of Mr. Tan Tian Siong, the company's current President, NAPPCO is moving towards a greater future by expanding its presence into various categories and other industries.
